The Kings of Punk from Portland, Poison Idea. They were not interested in the Straight Edge mentality of the time (no drugs, alcohol, or other pleasures), nor were they interested in the "let's get along with each other" type of socializing. It is 100% hardcore punk that remains honest to themselves, criticizing and spitting on the neo-Nazis, the police violence and murders that are happening around them. They said it was just a joke, but released with a controversial artwork that mocked Ian MacKaye of Minor Threat/Fugazi, who was the first to advocate the idea of Straight Edge. Since more than half of the members are huge, they are also known as "The band with the heaviest average weight in the world". That's what Poison Idea is all about!
